More for Pacific Square?

Does anyone think the new (not so) square on Pac. Ave is missing something?

I was there for the dedication, but at that time there was enough around that it didn't feel so empty. But today, as I walked by it on my way to lunch with a friend, I realized it's extremely flat and bare. It kind of looks like it really belongs in a busier metropolitan setting, where crowds of people, street vendors, etc would easily fill that space up. I see people out there occassionally reading, but it's so under-utilized right now that I kinda feel embarrassed for it.

Maybe there are plans for it that I'm not aware of, but if not, I hope someone considers how even a simple water feature somewhere in the middle might help the visual appeal. Oh, and some free wi-fi wouldn't hurt either.

Here's how it looked today as I walked by:

Absolutely no one was around today, and it's a beautiful day to be outside. I'd make that my office in a second if I could access my precious Internets.
