Holidays + Insanity = Profit!

So, I've determined that Alaska Airlines has found some way to make a profit on mass suicides. I mean why else did they force their passengers listen to 45 minutes of rip-your-ears-off annoying and campy arrangements of holiday tunes over the airplane speakers while we waited at our gate this morning?

Personally, I was about two seconds away from screaming "WHY? WHY MUST WE HEAR ABOUT BELLS THAT JINGLE?!  I HOPE YOU FALL OFF YOUR SLEIGH RIDE AND DIE!" when they turned it off to start the safety review.  At that point, I think everyone on the plane let out a collective sigh. The poor, overworked stewardess that droned her way through the safety procedures has no idea how much her tired voice resembled an angel choir (at least to those of us that didn't already have blood coming out of our ears).

I only mention this so you won't be surprised when you start seeing promotions in the form of:

"10,000 bonus points whenever your head asplode from temporary insanity on one of our flights! Offer good only during the holidays."
